1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website, contacting us, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our site or services. These terms apply to all clients and visitors of YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com.
2. Services
YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com provides simple website design services. We offer two packages:
- First Impression (4 designs in 7 days, $499): A fast, focused website with up to 3 pages. Ideal for getting online quickly.
- Lead Magnet (4 designs in 7 days, $699): A polished, feature-rich website with up to 8 pages, including optional newsletter setup. The build does not include a blog; if a blog is included in the site, the client is responsible for backend integration.
We guarantee 4 layout options within 7 days of content submission; refinements and launch may extend past 7 days. We limit our scope to simple website design only. E-commerce, booking systems, and custom web applications are not offered.
Services are delivered as described on our website and in the package details at the time of purchase. Detailed inclusions, features, and timelines are subject to those details.
3. Project Process
Our project process follows these stages: (1) Choose & pay — the client selects a package and pays upfront; (2) Content submission — the client submits content, brand assets, and preferences through our Client Portal; (3) 4 layout options — we guarantee 4 unique site designs (design mockups) tailored to the client's brand in 7 days or less from content submission. If we do not deliver those 4 options within 7 days, the client does not pay for the website build (only hosting-related fees, e.g. managed domain, remain); (4) Choose or refund — the client reviews all 4 designs. If the client approves a design, the remaining hours in the package are used to fine-tune the client's site based on the approved design. If none of the 4 options satisfy the client, the client may abandon the process and receive a full refund minus credit card processing fees; (5) Fine-tuning & launch — we refine the approved design using the included adjustment hours, then deploy the site and provide post-launch support. Refinements and launch may take more than 7 days; the only guarantee is that the 4 layout options are provided within the 7-day period. It is up to the client to approve the design and to approve when the site is ready to launch (or to request further development hours, which may extend past the 7-day period). The 4 designs are design mockups only and are not complete, functional websites. The client is responsible for providing content, images, and any other assets in a timely manner. Delays in providing materials may extend the project timeline.
4. Payment Terms
Full payment is required before project work begins. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. All prices are quoted and charged in United States Dollars (USD). For additional work beyond the scope of your package, additional hours are billed at $125/hour. Additional hours must be purchased in advance in 5-hour blocks. Unused hours in a block roll over for 90 days from the date of purchase.
5. Adjustment Hours
Each package includes a specific number of adjustment hours: First Impression includes 1 hour and Lead Magnet includes 3 hours. Adjustment hours are applied to fine-tuning your site based on your approved design — content changes, design tweaks, and refinements. Once you have used your included adjustment hours, any further work will be billed at our hourly rate. Adjustment hours are intended for refinements to the approved design — significant changes in scope may require a separate quote.
6. Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of full payment for all services, the client owns the final website, including design files, code, and deliverables created specifically for the client's project. YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com retains the right to display the work in our portfolio, website, and marketing materials unless the client opts out in writing. If you wish to opt out of portfolio display, please notify us at sales@yourwebsitein7days.com prior to project completion.
7. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to provide content, feedback, and approvals in a timely manner throughout the project. Delays caused by the client's failure to respond or provide materials may extend the project timeline. The client warrants that they have the right to use all content, images, logos, and other materials they provide to YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com, and that such use does not infringe upon any third-party rights. The client is responsible for maintaining access credentials and ensuring the security of their website after launch.
8. Domain & Hosting
All websites are hosted on Vercel's infrastructure. Hosting is included in the Care plan ($29.99/month), not included in the base build price. Managed domain is optional with Care; clients may instead bring their own domain. For domain names, clients have two options:
- Bring Your Own Domain: The client provides their own domain name. The client is solely responsible for purchasing, renewing, and maintaining their domain registration and DNS configuration. YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com will provide instructions for connecting the domain to the hosted website, but ongoing domain management is the client's responsibility. If a client's domain expires or DNS is misconfigured, YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com is not responsible for resulting downtime.
- Care Plan (includes Managed Domain): The Care plan ($29.99/month) includes hosting and managed domain. The client is responsible for finding a domain name they like that is available. YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com will purchase the domain with the client's approval. Domains costing $20 or less per year are included; the client is responsible for paying the difference if the requested domain costs more than $20 per year. We then configure and manage the domain on the client's behalf, including DNS configuration, SSL certificates, and annual renewal. The domain is registered in the client's name; the client owns the domain at all times. If the client discontinues the Care plan, we will transfer full domain control to the client at no additional charge. If the Care plan is not renewed, the client becomes responsible for domain renewal and management.
9. Money-Back Guarantee
YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com offers a money-back guarantee on all packages. After the client pays and submits their content, we deliver 4 site designs in 7 days or less. If none of the 4 designs satisfy the client, the client may abandon the process and receive a full refund of the package price minus credit card processing fees. If the client approves a design, the remaining hours in the package are used to fine-tune the client's site based on the approved design. The guarantee on the 4 designs does not apply to scope changes, feature additions, or cancellations unrelated to design satisfaction after a layout has been chosen. The guarantee is subject to good-faith participation from both parties. Full details are outlined in our Refund Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of our services or this website. Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you have paid to YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com for the services giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement with seven (7) days written notice. If the client terminates the project, payment for all work completed up to the date of termination is due within fourteen (14) days of termination. Refunds are governed by our refund policy, which may be provided separately or upon request. If YourWebsiteInSevenDays.com terminates the engagement for cause (including non-payment or material breach), the client remains liable for all work completed and any non-refundable costs incurred.
12. Warranties
We warrant that the website will be free from material defects in workmanship for a period of thirty (30) days following launch. We will correct any bugs or errors within this period at no additional cost. We make no warranty regarding third-party services, platforms, or integrations. Websites are delivered and warranted "as demonstrated and approved" — we do not warrant that the site will meet every possible future requirement or that third-party components will remain available indefinitely.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising from these terms or our services, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation does not resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days, the parties agree to submit the dispute to non-binding mediation. If mediation does not resolve the dispute, the parties agree to submit to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The seat of arbitration shall be in the State of Illinois. The prevailing party may be entitled to recover reasonable attorneys' fees and costs.
14. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms or our services (other than arbitration as set forth above) shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. We may also notify you by email if we have your contact information. Your continued use of our services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
